As a community, much of what we learn regarding our culture and ways of life comes through instruction, social groups such as families, and the mass media. We learn many concepts, norms, and traditions of our society without even recognizing it. For instance, our children may learn in school when certain important holidays that are celebrated in our community, such as Christmas, the Independence Day, and The Thanksgiving Day.
