Participatory Communication

Participatory Communication for Development (PCD) venture is in essence creating strong relations with the community and thus, expedites shared actions and initiatives for social change. It authorises local communities to deliberate and mitigate their challenges and practices, and to involve other stakeholders in generating an enhanced policy setting. For communication to be effective it need to incorporate different viewpoints and knowledge from all players and representatives to safeguard the appropriation by local communities for sustainability of the social change processes and, simultaneously, impact policy and policy-making procedures at all levels (local, national, community, and family).
