Learners' progress can be observed through interaction and observation. One can just observe one's students easily. Individual interaction between a teacher and the students provides the teacher with some opportunities to evaluate their learners' progress and retention. Because a teacher is close to their students and give them some “alone teacher time”, the student can also evaluate their own progress and communicate concerns or needs to the teacher.
A joint review of the student’s work can pull up an accurate evaluation of the student’s progress (or lack of it). It also provides the teacher valuable suggestions about whether to adapt instruction to meet the student’s needs or not.
