I would convince consumers that self-driving cars are safe based on the features that necessitate the safety of the consumer on the road. Automated vehicles and driver assisting technologies have the potential to reduce crashes, prevent injuries, and save lives. Fully automated vehicles that can see more and act faster than human drivers could greatly reduce errors, the resulting crashes, and their toll. They have creative safety features that enhance the safety of the consumers such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking to regulate the speed at an emergency point, blindspot detection in danger zone areas, electronic stability control to enhance the stability of the vehicle when in high speeds to avoid rolling, lane-keeping assistance to control diversion into other lanes, and rear cross-traffic assist among others.
