· The poet does not preach to the learners.
· The poem speaks from a child’s perspective and shares a child’s views and life.
· Poems for young children should focus on linguistic sounds and encourage wordplay.
· To help your learners focus their thoughts, it's a good idea to have a theme in mind. Introduce poetry to your pupils by using poems that they can relate to. Children may use their imaginations to see and hear the world in new ways thanks to sharply cut visual representations and fresh, original wording.
· Make Poetry a play.
· The best children's poetry and literature provide young readers with a lot of fun, as well as unforgettable events, scenarios, characters, and insights into human behavior. In poetry, innovative language, meaningful and original ideas, and artistic style are all key components of good writing. Young learners enjoy reading simply predictable stories as well as adventure-filled and adventure-filled stories. These suggestions and methods will motivate young students to read more and independently.
