Manage challenges-when bad news hits, the public relations practioner staff’s job is to fix it. A company focused on strategic management shouldn’t often find itself reacting, but when it does have to respond, the public relations practioner should already know who the key stakeholders are and how they can be motivated to stop the bleeding and drive the conversation and action back to the organizational goals.
Work top down - For public relations to have a strategic roles in companies, business owners have to have a clear vision and organizational goals, as well as a commitment to using PR tools in an active role to help achieve them.
Segment audience-Whether you outsource public relations duties, perform them yourself or have a staff in charge, the responsibilities includes knowing that some stakeholders are more influential than others.
