1.1. White Paper 6 showed a commitment to providing equal education opportunities for learners
who had been excluded because the education and training system did not accommodate
their special needs. The teacher can use the following to ensure an inclusive
learning environment:
• A transformative approach
• A caring pedagogy
• Awareness of Intrinsic and Extrinsic factors
• A broader approach to support

What is an inclusive learning environment? Inclusive learning and teaching recognises all student’s entitlement to a learning experience that respects diversity, enables participation, removes barriers and anticipates and considers a variety of learning needs and preferences.
Explain the transformative approach.
is particularly suitable for connecting management consulting and research because. this approach attempts to integrate action and reflection, personal and. organizational realities, and theory and practice.
1.1.3. Why do we have a broader approach to support? Provide three reasons for broader approach
to support.
A broader approach creates opportunities for faculty to discuss learning and teaching on the programs involved.
Differentiate between disruptive behaviour and learning difficulty. Provide one example for
each
Disruptive behaviour is uncooperative and defiant behaviour operationalized as either vocal disruptions or physical disruptions. An example of disruptive behaviour is smoking cigarette in an hospital with sick patients. On the other hand, learning difficulty is a condition that impact on an individual's ability gain knowledge or skills at the same rate as his or her peers due to mental problems. An example of learning difficulty is language processing disorder.
1.1.5. How can the teacher develop a classroom system that supports learners so that all
learners can learn? Provide examples to illustrate your answer.
The classroom system would have to be infused with certain strategies that are aimed at supporting all the learners in the classroom and consequently boosting their learning experience. One strategy revolves around the grading system chosen. Specifically, when doing classroom assignments, the teachers can use a unique grading system to encourage learners. For instance, the scope of the grading system should cover both academic and extra-curricular participation. The aim is to encourage learners to continue to participate in both sets of activities because they all contribute towards their general evaluation and final grade.
Another strategy may be to encourage participation by all the learners. This can be achieved through practical activities being assigned to all learners that should be presented and shared with the entire class. The practical activities should be set up such that they leave room for all learners to integrate their interests and skills in their responses to the practical activities.
Further, teachers can consider ways of teaching specific skills to the learners that will encourage sharing, teaching and learning from each other. For example, the siting arrangement in class can be made such that the learners sit in groups. The sitting arrangements can be changed periodically so that the members of the class interact with each other. The group sitting arrangement may encourage the learners to share skills they have learnt with each other. It will also create room for group assignments that foster teamwork among other values.
