FAL classrooms can use blank verse poetry which is poetry written with a precise meter, they can also use rhymed poetry in contrast to blank verse rhymed poems rhyme by definition although their scheme varies. The rhyme scheme that would be appropriate in a FAL classroom is perfect rhyme whereby both words share the exact assonance and number of syllables or the eye rhyme were two words that look similar on a page but do not rhyme in spoken pronunciation.
