some of the strategies that the school and homes can use to enhance literacy skills includes

1. start a community reading program that allows to allow children within the community become readers and develop their literacy skills.
2. holding essays and speech contests- this allows leaners tp practice public speaking skills and critical thinking that improves their skills.
3. cooperate with other organizations and school staff- contacting other organizations with different expertise on various fields improves literacy skills as it widens knowledge base for leaners.
4. collaborating and getting families involved in local reading efforts- parental involvement improves leaners confidence thus helps to improve the literacy skills by active participation.

The challenges associated o this home school collaboration includes the concept of pedagogy, school policy and perception.
