The government should not censor the media since the purpose of the media is to inform the citizens about various factors happening in the world. There are many other purposes of the media such as entertainment and advertising which might coincide with the policies set by the government. However, despite the fact that media should be allowed freedom, there is some degree of censoring that should be exercised by the government. The content shared by the media should be appropriate and they should not unnecessarily place the government under a tight spot. Also, the restriction place by the government on the media should purely be for the benefit of the citizens rather than selfish interests or exploitation purposes.
