Civic Literacy- Civic literacy emphasizes the need to instill the basic knowledge of environmental education like environmental management and conservation to individuals. I would teach them how to apply this knowledge to conserve the environment.
Global Awareness and Cross-Cultural skills- Global awareness is key to building unity between diverse cultures. It is the understanding of diversity and with this, I would incorporate global stories into my curriculum to teach on environmental education.
Critical and Inventive Thinking- Environmental education provides a mechanism for developing critical thinking skills by providing topics and problems that cut across curriculum and enhance knowledge integration.
Communication- Communication is key in awareness creation on the effects of environmental pollution and in imparting knowledge on the benefits of environmental conservation.
Collaboration and Information skills- Collaboration is where facilitators work with agencies and stakeholders using negotiation, structured dialogue, mediation, and other approaches to prevent, manage, and resolve environmental conflicts. It promotes a holistic approach toward the protection and conservation of nature.
