The classroom system would have to be infused with certain strategies that are aimed at supporting all the learners in the classroom and consequently boosting their learning experience. One strategy revolves around the grading system chosen. Specifically when doing classroom assignments, the teachers can use a unique grading system to encourage learners. For instance, the scope of the grading system should cover both academic and extra-curricular participation. The aim is to encourage learners to continue to participate in both sets of activities because they all contribute towards their general evaluation and final grade.

Another strategy may be to encourage participation by all the learners. This can be achieved through practical activities being assigned to all learners that should be presented and shared with the entire class. The practical activities should be set up such that they leave room for all learners to integrate their interests and skills in their responses to the practical activities.

Further, teachers can consider ways of teaching specific skills to the learners that will encourage sharing, teaching and learning from each other. For example, the siting arrangement in class can be made such that the learners sit in groups. The sitting arrangements can be changed periodically so that the members of the class interact with each other. The group sitting arrangement may encourage the learners to share skills they have learnt with each other. It will also create room for group assignments that foster team work among other values.
