It is only at the end of the story that the title's significance is revealed. Write a paragraph in which you explain the irony of the story's title. Short story, man lands on the moon, by Sindiwe Magona
The portrait taken by Armstrong was a comprehensive one, both visually and theoretically. It was exposed with a particularly made Hasselblad camera, which, together with the photographer and the rest of the technical devices, are all reflected on the surface of Aldrin's space helmet. The image was composed so that the scale of the Moon with the size of the depicted person is distorted, as the central figure is still occupying most of the perceived space. The horizon behind both astronauts merges into a seamless line. They are strange on a celestial body that has not encountered human life before. They launched a history that had a specific plan: colonizing the Moon. Our planet's only Moon. However, as opposed to previous scientists, like Christopher Columbus, the Apollo 11 crew already knew what they would find on this uninhabited land.
