Using an example of a specific land resource in your community critically discuss current or future issues related to its development and how these issues are perceived by your local community and yourself.
Because of its extensive plains, my community is famed for its big rice output. During the twentieth century, it was the leading producer of the nation's primary food. The province was not always committed to rice farming, and for most of its history, it was considered a frontier territory. Walking around the neighborhood, one may mistakenly believe that the area has been spared from the effects of climate change. There were no dry taps or parched lands despite the dry and humid weather. Along side roads, freshly picked palay were exhibited, ready to be packed in bags and stored. Farmers are given subsidies by governments to assist them in these situations.
Worms and parasites have also been a concern in farms. Agriculture officials are currently speaking with onion producers in this province about the damage that army worms are causing to their crops. To tackle the problem, farmers were urged not to over-apply pesticide to onion plants in an attempt to kill army worms, as they had been doing in the past since it would entail more problems in the future like pest immunity from the chemicals.
