Ethics refers to the principles that are accepted morally and are often used to guide behavior of people while conducting activities. One of the factors that influences ethics include factors such as family, friends, internet and cultural background. Ethics play essential roles in organizations since they guide how employees relate to one another. This ensures that respect is observed among them. For example in the recent past, there has been a situation whereby users of Facebook have not been respecting one another. The management of the social media giant has been punishing such individuals by blocking their accounts for quite sometimes. Examples of laws in the UK that promote good working relationship among employees include the following;
i. Employment Rights Act 1996 - One of the most comprehensive pieces of employment law laws, including provisions for employment contracts, wrongful dismissal, family-friendly leave, and redundancy.
ii. National Minimum Wage Act 1998 - This generates a NWM for employees and staff all over the United Kingdom. Since the sum can change at any time, it's critical to stay informed of any changes to the NMW.
