From the happiness factor by david books
In paragraph 8, the author states, “Most schools and colleges spend too much money
preparing students for careers and not enough preparing them to make social decisions.”
Do you agree with this statement? In a paragraph of 100 words, give reasons to substantiate
your answer.
It is true that most colleges and schools often focus on preparing learners to acquire education through a strict limitation on curriculum. Instead of focusing on social skills, the units often focus on the courses that prepare the learners for employment. Rather than providing learners with an inclusive curriculum that provide them with various social skills to improve their decision making skills, they prepare them using scholarly context that is limited to the curriculum. This explains why it is easy to find an A graduate struggling to make the right decision when faced with a dilemma. Lack of flexibility and social skills affect the graduates’ ability to perform well in applying curriculum concepts in real contexts. It also affects their ability to network due to limited social skills.
