People often profess of having good and bad days, and resign to the fact that they are part of life. However, some bad days stand out and they become part of our memories. I have experienced good and bad days. But, there is one particular day when virtually everything went wrong. I had slept with a slight migraine the previous night only to wake up feverish and weak. I decided to go to the nearest hospital for a quick check up. I had assumed that it was a minor flu that would soon subside with painkillers and maybe antibiotics. After several tests the doctor told me that I was going down with a chicken pox infection. I had planned to attend a party in the evening and had even bought new clothes. In my present situation, I was supposed to stay in quarantine until the virus left my system. I was looking forward to the day and was even hoping to make new friends. Now I was expected to stay in seclusion. I felt sorry for myself. I had to disappoint my friends and miss out on an opportunity for networking and socializing. Whenever I remember that day, I pray that I never have such an experience again.
