The first comparison among the two poems is that the persona in both are first person. Also another similarity between the two poems is that there is a sense of personification. In the, “Sleeping in the Forest” by Mary Oliver, the Earth has been given the features of human beings like remembering. In the, “Gold” by Pat Mora, the winds have been given features of human beings like running. A notable difference between the two is that the “Gold” by Pat Mora has three stanzas while “Sleeping in the Forest” by Mary Oliver has only one stanza.
