QUESTION 9

A three- stage amplifier circuit has first stage gain of 45dB, second stage gain of 50dB and

third stage gain of -5dB. What is the overall gain? If input to the first stage is 0.1mV, what is

the output of the final stage?

  • First, derive the truth table from the statement of the question. (The question must have at least 4 inputs)
  • Then, using that truth table, derive the expression in Sum of Minterms form
  • Minimize the expression using algebraic manipulation and draw the circuit using conventional gates.
  • Then, draw K-Map, and derive the most simplified expression using this technique, after this draw the circuit by using the same simplified expression.
  • Then implement the same circuit using NAND gates only.
  • Do the same using only NOR gates also.

Finally, please be advised that at least one question must include "Don't Care Conditions

For the network shown below, the boolean expression for X is ________.

Two batteries A & B which have an EMF of 200v and 190v and an internal resistance of 0.2ohms & 0.5ohms are to be charged by a generator which has an EMF of 220v and internal resistance of 0.1ohms. The resistors R1 & R2 a set at 9.8 0hms & 14.8 Ohms respectively.

Calculate the value of the charging currents and the current supplied by the generator .

A carbon resistor dissipates 60 W of power from a 120 V source at 20°C. How much power will be dissipated in the resistor at 120°C if connected across the same source? Assume the temperature coefficient of carbon at 20°C is -0.0005 per °
