1.How can i know the right frequency for operating any ferrite Core transformer that i have winded? 2. Enlighten me as to how to calculate for primary turns and voltage, and secondary turns and voltage.
1. The right frequency for your self-winded ferrite core transformer can be found experimentally according to the application. Typically, frequencies higher than 50 Hz are good for such transformers.
2. The primary voltage depends on the source (as your socket, 120 or 120 V). The number of turns of the primary winding can be chosen according to the following book: Power and Distribution Transformers: Practical Design Guide by K.R.M. Nair. The secondary voltage and the secondary number of turns depend on the load that you will connect to your transformer.
