Linda recently went to a communication workshop to help improve her workplace performance. She learned that in effective communication, she should resist forming an opinion until the speaker has finished, then attempt to empathize with the listener, and finally effectively respond to the speaker. She learned techniques regarding maintaining eye contact and sending backchannel signals to show interest. Discuss THREE (3) possible barriers for Linda to fully utilized her new communication skills.
The first possible obstacle is Linda's weak analytical competence, that is, the logic of thinking is not developed at the proper level.
The second obstacle can be viewed as a possible prejudice of Linda in her own rightness on all issues. Such people often confuse truth with their own prejudices.
