The Bohr model is a theoretical model that was used to explain the mechanics of electrons ͞orbiting͟ an
atomic nucleus. At the microscopic scale that Bohr's atom theory is able to explain the properties of and
connections between atoms.

Limitations of Bohr’s model:
1) electron couldn’t circle around nucleus like a planet! Because they would lose energy (by emitting
electromagnetic radiation) and spiral into nucleus.
2) Bohr was not able to explain electron orbits of large atom w/ many electrons.
