Question #61891

why Solubility of NaF in water is less than that of RbF ?

Expert's answer

First factor is that solubility of NaF in water is less than RbF because the hydration enthalpy of NaF is more than RbF.
Second point is that solubility increases with the increase of the atomic radius of the cation, that is why RbF is more soluble in water than NaF.
