A sample of concentrated HCL acid is 11.8M HCL and has a density of 1.190g/cm-cubed. Calculate: Mass fraction, Molality and Mole fraction.
Iam doing descaling for my chiller to remove CaCO3 scale, by circulating mild acid solution through the scaled pipes continuously. Over period of time, the Ca concentration in solution increase due to dissolution of scale in solution.
My question is, whats the maximum ppm of Ca can dissolve in that certain solution (its circulating continuously for may hours- But acid powder will add off and on to maintain pH below 3 aprox, but no water change ). I guess after a certain ppm of Ca, any more Ca scale wont dissove - Please correct me if I am wrong- and what will be the max ppm of Ca that solution can afford ?
Are unsaturated fatty acids considered as radicals? why or why not?
Acid reacts with calcium carbonate in limestone to form a salt and carbon dioxide. A piece of limestone reacted completely with 100 cm3 of 31.5gdm3 nitric acid. Calculate the mass of salt produced. What is the volume of carbon dioxide, CO2 liberated at room conditions?
an excess of copper(II) oxide is reacted with 1.0 mol dm3 sulphuric acid. Calculate the volume of sulphuric acid needed to prepare 20.0 g of copper(II) sulphate.
What is the volume of carbon dioxide gas obtained at s.t.p when 25 g of pure marble ( calcium carbonate ) is dissolved in excess dilute hydrochloric acid?
an excess of copper(II) oxide is reacted with 1.0 mol dm3 sulphuric acid. Calculate the volume of sulphuric acid needed to prepare 20.0 g of copper(II) sulphate.
uncan takes a break from studying and goes to the gym to swim laps. If swimming burns 7.65×105 cal
cal per hour, how many kilojoules does swimming burn in that same amount of time?
In other words, convert 7.65×105 cal
cal to kilojoules.
Silver nitrate reacts with calcium chloride in solution to form a silver chloride precipitate.
