According to the Bohr model electrons can move between different energy levels within an atom for this to happen a photon of specific energy have to added to the atom for transition of electon from lower to higher energy levels of specific energy difference identical to the energy of the photos.


The electron producing this photon of light literally be jumping from High to lower energy level whose energy difference is equal to that of the photon of light .
