explain what stomata regulate? Where are they located? What forms a stomata?
Stomata are functionally specialized pores located on the lower surfaces of leaves. These structures consist of a pore called a stoma surrounded by a pair of guard cells enriched in chloroplasts. Stomata regulate the flow of gases in and out of the plant leaves. An increase in osmotic pressure in the guard cells opens the pore and induces the uptake of water.
