Nematodes have a distinctive difference from the flat worms. Describe the differences between the flat worms and the round worms?
Flatworms and roundworms are two types of worms. Roundworms belong to the phylum Nematoda while Flatworms belong to the phylum Platyhelminthes. Flatworms have flat thin body whereas roundworms have a cylindrical body tapered at each end. Flatworms have only one digestive opening (pharynx) while nematodes have a complete digestive tract with two openings. Flatworms have three body layers but do not have body cavities while nematodes have pseudocoelomate - a cavity between endoderm and mesoderm.
