If a cell begins G1 with 2 chromosomes, how many chromatids are present during S and G2? How many are in the daughter cells after mitosis?

During S stage replication will take place and each chromosome will have two chromatids. Thus, the total number of chromatids will be 4.
During G2 the number of chromatids will remain the same - 4.
In the reuslt of mitosis each daughter cell will receive one chromatid from each chromosome, resulting in 2 chromatids in each daughter cells. There, chromatids will become chromosomes.
