Every relation contains some level of conflict. Variations in beliefs, values, wants, desires, and habits will always exist. The impact of a conflict impacts how it is managed, which is generally referred to as conflict resolution. Conflict resolution is any process used to settle, control, determine, and settle disputes that may emerge between individuals, companies, nations, and societies, among others (Nan, 2011). A conflict is resolved when the contradiction between the parties' actions and wishes is reconciled.

Conflict is a social phenomenon that becomes worse when individuals of a party take sides in a discussion. During counselling, a counsellor interviews the affected persons and uses an interactive technique to help them reach an agreement. Counselling in group conflicts is uncommon since it is hard to resolve individual concerns and needs while addressing the root cause of the conflict. Instead, a dispute mediator or related parties can facilitate the situation. Counselling is designed to establish an interactive interaction in which the therapist strives to assist an individual in bettering himself concerning current and future difficulties.

Counselling is extremely valuable to both individuals and organizations during a conflict resolution process. For one thing, it allows the conflicting parties to understand themselves better and reflect on their positions. Counselling attempts to assist the parties to view the problem objectively and generating new views (Fatchurahman & Bulkani, 2018). Counselling helps them create a positive outlook and ideal attitude about the circumstance. Individuals are inspired to search for alternate solutions to the root cause of the dispute when their perception shifts. Finally, counselling during a disagreement equips the individual to deal with the circumstance.
