Health inequality is defined as the unjust and avoidable variations in the people’s health standards between specific individuals and across the population. In this case, health inequality is considered notable just because of its practices against the rules and the regulations of social justice because they are avoidable, meaning that they cannot occur by chance or in a random manner. Therefore, the examples of health inequality are preventable deaths, higher increment on cases of mental illness, lower life expectancy, and the complexities in accessing health care facilities.

Gender-related health inequalities are concerned with the causes of morbidity and mortality, where specific health and well-being issues are considered to be dominantly affected on a particular gender. In this case, the resultant effect will initiate health complexities like depression, dementia, and arthritis in the case of the women. Contrarily, on the men’s side the cardiovascular diseases, lung cancer, and suicide are the most common health inequalities in South Africa,
