A paradigm refers to philosophical and theoretical mechanisms utilized within a discipline to develop theories, generalization, and the experiments carried out in support of them. A paradigm consists of the basic assumptions, ways of thinking, and methods of study that are commonly accepted by members of a discipline or group. A good example is the critical paradigm that emphases on power, inequality, and social development. Therefore, social sciences can never be truly value less and should be carried with the express objective of social change at the back of everybody's mind.
