They also show that the health disparity is mostly caused by the fact that women have a larger prevalence of health problems than males, rather than the severity of those problems. Women are more infected with HIV compared to men as they engage in commercial sexual activities to satisfy their basic needs. They undergo discrimination and gender inequalities from the society which negatively affects their living conditions as well as their body health.
