There has been numerous debate and different opinion concerning "coming out of the closet". Arguements from liberal gays reveal individual individual gayness may extricate them from restriction of heterosexism. In addition increase i n homophobic abuse through reinforcing heterosexual order will be experienced by revealing individual gayness. This will lead to homophobic attacks. An agentic approach to "the closet" should be used for a better understanding of gay people, who they are, there experiences in life and there feelings. Once this is done gay people will learn to accept themselves and also people around them.
