Briefly discuss what the concept of “culture” entails and indicate the role of the school in the conveyance of culture in the present multi-cultural society we live in.
The concept of culture entails a way of life that individuals accept, including beliefs, behaviorism, symbols, or values. In this case, culture is the framework in which individuals build their identity. The school plays a significant role in the conveyance of culture in the multi-cultural society that we presently live in. The school is used to teach a culturally inclusive curriculum. This culture tends to capture the world as a whole. Schools are also warehouses of knowledge regarding culture. School also appreciates or acknowledges the different cultures through the acceptance of individuals of diverse backgrounds. Schools are also agents of change that help individuals think beyond their culture.
