Social control is the societal control over individuals. In the outbreak of Covid-19, people have to have absolute control to prevent its spread and contain the disease as much as possible. For this reason, various rules and ways like social distancing and wearing of masks have been implemented to prevent it. The agents of control essential in ensuring this is better would include educational institutions, neighborhoods, and the state (Ross, 2017). The state can improve compliance by coming up with different policies like “no wearing mask no services from any stores countrywide.” Educational institutions can ensure students comply by ensuring that student seats in classes are put two meters apart and ensure that no student is allowed in the school premises without a mask. Neighborhoods may make the compliance better by ensuring no social gatherings, and in case there is any, there are 5 to 10 people only. Also, they will ensure that those who attend wear their masks and do not take them off whatsoever.
