1. sociology enables individuals to appreciate diversity and broadens people's thinking. sociology plays the role of empowering people. Sociology helps people to solve the social problems and other complex challenges.
2. As a structural field of study, sociology is a school of thought according to which each of the institutions, relationships, roles, and norms that together constitute a society serves a purpose, and each is indispensable for the continued existence of the others and of society as a whole
3. Sociology is a science because it adopts and applies the scientific method. Sociology does make use of scientific methods in the study of its subject matter. Hence Sociology is a science.
