You are required to select a company of your choice which is working a national or multinational level.
Study the company in detail and discuss about its origin and history. What kind of culture is prevailing in
the organization, what kind of stakeholders and how the relationship is managed? Discussed the cultural
dimensions of the company under your study. Furthermore, you are required to implement four functions
(i.e planning, organizing, leading and controlling) in your selected company. Furthermore, in the light of
Chapter 12 (Human Resource Management), study and critically analyze the company’s human resource
policies.
The company I have selected is a multinational beverage company called Coca Cola. It started around 1892 by a pharmacist called John S. Pemberton. It is the biggest beverage manufacturer and among the largest corporations in the United States. Its headquarters are found in Atlanta, Georgia. The flagship product of the coca cola company is coca cola; however it manufactures and sells more than 500 brands in more than 200 countries. The prevailing culture in the Corporation includes a culture in which workers truly dedicate themselves to living the values of the organization. Such cultures involve sharing, caring, integrity, connecting and excellence, since it’s a local business that acts on a global scale. The culture and values are represented in its planning, leadership, organization and how different activities are controlled within the corporation.
