Considering the concentric zone model of urbanization, what type of zone were you raised in? Is this the same or different from that of earlier generations in your family? What type of urban zone do you reside in now?
The concentric zone model explains the social structures depending on how people pay for the land. The distribution of people from the city depends on their level of income and living standards. According to the model, I was raised in a factory zone where the apartments are where the cost of living is relatively low. Many factories were in this zone, making it a source of employment for my parents. The factory zone has high populations working in the factories and central business district. The zone is different from that of earlier generations because there was little infrastructural development. The buildings have also changed from traditional to modern building that accommodates many people. My current residential area is the central business district. I am now living in the working-class zone, where my parents bought a family house. The area comprises of many white-collar employees. The areas do not have a high population, and the cost of living is relatively high.
