Democracy is a form of government by the peopled for the people where the supreme power is vested on the people and exercised on their behalf by their elected representatives. Ancient Democracy involved organisations around the wealthy hence the rise of oligarchy,monarchy,despots and aristocracy,this were seen as a most natural form of government. People didn't have the right of representationand the dominant groups within a society were the rulers. Mordern Democracy is an inclusive form of governance by the people for the people which addresses such concerns as an appropriate unit of representation,association,how governance is executed and which political systems and institutions are required to solve citizen issues. It addresses the fundamental rule of the majority having their way but what constitites the majority.
