The following are the pre and post test scores of 10 pupils before and after having
given remedial teaching and learning activities in Mathematics:
Pre-test: 75, 50, 46, 62, 57, 54, 39, 49, 52 and 36
Post-test: 85, 70, 66, 71, 80, 81, 68, 60, 81 and 58.
Did the group make a significant gain as a result of the activity? Use 0.01 level of significance in
testing the hypothesis.
Yes, the group made a significant gain as a result of issuing of tests and remedials to students. The pre-results when compared with post-results show clearly that there is a significant level of improvement.
