Provide an example with explanation, of how the Social Cognitive theory may be used to teach young male motor cyclist to ride safely on our public roads
The social cognitive theory posits that a huge part of an individual's knowledge acquisition constitutes the observations of social interactions, experiences and even the outside media. In this case, a male cyclist can be taught to ride safely on public roads by showing him examples of past road accidents that happened due to the recklessness of the cyclists. These incidents will subconsciously stick in their mind and the need to perfect their cycling skill and always ensure road safety.
