Struggles while discovering your learning style are common to every learner. While learning styles look attractive in theory, study has concluded that learning style-based interventions do not impact how well learners understand or can apply the material, and instruction tailored to different learning styles is not an effective use of resources. The following are some of the struggles that I underwent while discovering my learning style; firstly, is lack of learning style awareness, both general and personal, I also encountered the struggle of perception that accommodation will require increased or consume precious class time, and lastly the perception that me discovering my learning style will involve increased cost in materials, technologies, and staff time.
