Any act or series of acts committed by a person against a woman who is his wife, former wife, or a woman with whom he has or had a sexual or dating relationship, or with whom he has an ordinary child, or against her child, whether legitimate or illegitimate, within or outside the family abode, which results in or is likely to result in physical, sexual, psychological harm or suffering, or economic abuse, is referred to as "violence against women and their children. I do agree because A "dating relationship" is defined as a scenario in which the parties live as husband and wife without the advantage of marriage or are romantically connected over time and regularly. A casual acquaintance or everyday socializing between two people in a professional or social setting is not the same as dating.
