The five senses are defined as smell through our nose, sight through our eyes, taste through our tongue, smell through our nose, and sound through our ears. These senses do not hinder the parameter of the concept like if we take sight, it is the function of our eyes to see the objects, the nerve sends a message to the brain to optical lobe, and the brain decodes it and sends the message back, and thus we can see the object, in case there is any damage to the nerve a person will not be able to see, the same way the taste if the taste buds do not send the parietal lobe a person cannot feel the taste while chewing the food saliva secretion gets mixed up with the food, it happens to start the digestion in the mouth itself.

The sensation is feeling something that comes in contact with our five senses and allows our brains to take in information via these senses. That can be then experienced and interpreted by the brain, each of these senses has a unique neural pathway with the brain that allows the information from the environment to be transferred to the brain very rapidly, without sensation we would not have been able to enjoy the warmth of the sun or cool air.
