According to livescience, that there are more senses, one of them is called proprioception, this
sense deals with the brain and how it understands our bodies needs, however “Proprioception
includes the sense of movement and position of our limbs and muscles.”
This sense enables us to touch with our hands/fingertips right to the very tip of our nose. This
can be done with our eyes closed.
A research was conducted by the National institutes of Health (NIH). This research found out
that people who have poor proprioception particularly through mechanosensation.
I do think that we may have inactive senses that we have no clue about, how I think it that is, is
because upon my research I found that we could have between 14 – 20 according to Philip
Perry in may 2019 .
Honestly I think we should keep with the 5 main senses but, I would think having it expanded
would be confusing to all of us, however learning all our senses could help us with life in more
advanced age (such as the technological future that is upon us as we write this) as we know it
we could have more than just over 14-20 senses, we could have more when we are more
technologically advanced. My reason why I think we should stick with the 5 main senses as
these senses we have today is for life, although it would be cool to read other peoples minds,
