The mental ability to conceive a hypothetical event and predict a likely conclusion without having to observe or enact the scenario is referred to as "mental operations." What do you suppose would happen if this happened?" Most youngsters this age will correctly predict that the dog ate the hotdog, especially if they had previous dog experience. The term "concrete operation" refers to a mental operation that portrays a physical, concrete situation that the child can easily understand because it is attached to objects that can be seen and touched in the real world: it is concrete.
