When considering truth claims, name and describe the different views or approaches that people claim as their "truth"
Truth is essential for individuals to thrive. It is considered as the aim to belief. Truth relates to facts and does not change. Moreover, truth is absolute in that it does not support the right to do wrong. There are different approaches that people claim as their truth. People claim their truth from the correspondence approach. In this case, anything is considered true if it corresponds to the facts. Also, there is the pragmatism theory. In this case, people claim an idea to be true if it is satisfactory and ends their inquiry. Also, truth does not have to be universally accepted. Instead, a proposition only becomes true if it is believable. As for the consensus approach, truth is regarded as what everyone agrees upon. Another approach relates to the correspondence theory, where anything linked to observable reality is considered to be true.
