To manage kernel services the utilities lsmod, modinfo, insmod and modprobe may be used.

The utility lsmod can be used to display currently loaded kernel services, their size, and dependencies.

The utility modinfo can be used to display information about the particular service.

The utility insmod can be used to install one specified service into the kernel.

The utility modprobe can be used to add or remove specified service. It can load dependant services during adding.
