It depends on whether these defects show themselves or not. For instance, if the program was deeply tested, the defects may appear only in unusual situations and will not affect the supports. If the testing over the program was not performed or it was weak, these known but ignored defects may lead the support to the denial of service because of the enormous number of requests.
