Where do you stand on the controversial encryption issue? Should governments like the United States be allowed to have an escrowed key to all encrypted communications? Is unfettered encryption a good thing for cyberspace?
The controversial encryption issue is that the entire internet should be encrypted. But this will cause many troubles: Will there be enough computing power to encrypt everything? Or how much time and our taxes will be required to elaborate documentation on which significant applications to encrypt?
Should governments like the United States be allowed to have an escrowed key to all encrypted communications or not does not depend on my will because governments always have some secret operations and goals. It can be helpful to prevent crime and terrorism; it can be bad if governments want to stalk innocent citizens in opposition to the current state of matters.
Unfettered encryption causes the same issues: will the police be able to prevent crime and terrorism? But the level of cyber privacy of individuals on the internet will be in a much better condition.
